How did you hear about the book challenge in your community and why did you take action?

I heard about the banning from a friend. I took action because I knew that banning as a whole was wrong.

You can get books at the library or store, why should we care about a book being removed from one class of students or one community?

We should care because by banning a book, the community is taking away our basic rights! Anyone has the right to read whatever they want.

Why do you think being aware of book challenges or bans is important to our country today?

It’s important because we should know what’s going on in our country as well as knowing how rights are being taken away from us and how easily they are taken away.

Who inspires you? Who is your hero?

My hero is Dr. Lynn Bruno.  She is also who inspires me. Dr. Bruno is such a strong and courageous person.  Along with being courageous, she isn’t afraid to be who she is! She’s 100% Lynn Bruno! J
