Discuss your favorite banned books, the reasons why they were banned, and ways we can celebrate these books and our freedom to read. We’ll also showcase the Banned Books Week Virtual Read Out videos you create!
Details about Virtual Read Out:
Banned Books week is a celebration of the freedom to read. We recognize the books that have been challenged for whatever reason and celebrate their impact on the world. We’re celebrating Banned Books Week with a Virtual Read Out hosted by the banned book website. Create a video about why it’s important to celebrate the freedom to read, about a book you love that’s been banned or challenged and we’ll showcase it at our Banned Books Week Discussion on September 26th!
