Every year, bookstores, libraries, universities, and organizations host engaging programs that spotlight censorship. Are you hosting an event for Banned Books Week? Putting up a display? Let us know about it, and we’ll share it here for the world to find!

Please provide complete address and time information, as well as contact information so we can send queries for clarification. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee your event will display correctly. Thank you!

Banned Books Week Trivia at Springfield City Library

September 29 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EDT

Free

Think you know your rabble-rousing books and authors? Show us! Stop in for a few rounds of Banned Book Trivia, and see if you can name titles, authors, and facts about the ways in which they were challenged for removal from public spaces. Compete solo or in teams of up to four; you’ll be given lists of frequently banned titles, but cellphone “research” is a no-no! There’ll be prizes, snacks, and of course, the most important thing…bragging rights! Ages 14-Adult, please pre-register here.
